Follow‑up plan

What affects risk?

Risk assessment is based on your history and skin features. Factors that may increase risk include:

  • numerous or atypical moles,
  • previous skin cancers,
  • family history of skin cancer,
  • fair skin and tendency to sunburn,
  • long‑term UV exposure,
  • reduced immunity.

How is follow‑up planned?

Clinicians set the follow‑up interval individually based on risk, the number of lesions, and dermoscopic findings.

Monitoring and documentation

When lesions need observation, photo documentation and side‑by‑side comparisons during follow‑up visits help guide decisions.
