Before the visit
To make the exam as accurate as possible:
- note any lesions that concern you (when they appeared and how they changed),
- bring previous records or photos if you have them,
- prepare a list of medications and chronic conditions,
- if possible, avoid heavy makeup or nail polish on areas that will be examined.
On the day of the exam
Wear comfortable clothing that makes it easy to examine different areas. The clinician may ask to view hard‑to‑see spots.
After the exam
You will receive a clear plan: monitoring, a follow‑up visit, or additional steps when needed.
