Adult skin mapping exam

Examination workflow

The visit usually includes two parts:

  1. full-body digital photography,
  2. videodermoscopy of selected lesions.

Why both steps are important

The full-body set creates a baseline map, while videodermoscopy provides detailed structure analysis of lesions that need closer evaluation.

Typical indications

The exam is often recommended for patients with numerous moles, light skin phototype, family history of melanoma, or high cumulative UV exposure.

Follow-up and documentation

Images are securely archived and compared over time. This helps track lesion evolution and supports decisions on observation, re-check, or further diagnostics.
