HPV is a human papillomavirus that can cause viral warts on the skin and mucous membranes, but also cause cancer such as cancer of the cervix, throat, tongue or anus.

HPV vaccinations are included in the vaccination schedule for children aged 9 to 14.

However, not everyone knows that vaccination is also effective in older people, minimizing the risk of developing HPV-dependent cancers and condylomas. In adults in Poland, anti-HPV vaccination is not subject to reimbursement.

The vaccine we use at Old Town Clinic is polyvalent, targeting as many as 9 subtypes of the HPV virus. It’s called Gardasil 9 and it is the most effective vaccine on the market. It is well tolerated and safe. Used in as many as 125 countries.
